Hello,

OK for the MET, I'll do it as you say Bell. It seems indeed to be the right way on this type of aircraft.

About the flap retraction in flight, they were still at 4° when I started the crosswind turn, I believe I should have reduced Vy even more between 60 and 150m...

And copied for the flare problem.

Anyway, thanks for your analysis Bell!

You will not get an ideal flight. Nobody could get it. Улыбка Some deviations are permissible.

Hello,

Here's another attempt, this time I focused on the flare. I started at 10m, following the navigator's announcement.

The parameters are the same. (Tu-154B-2, TOW=80t, LW=79t, CAX=27,2, USHH rwy 06)

Thanks,

Don't pull the yoke too much on rotate, try to have the elevator in the range 15-20* on elevator position indicator. The elevator is not efficient after passing 20* angle.

Your landing was almost fine. You pulled the the yoke at 10 meters and returned it into the neutral position at 2 meters. Vertical speed was about -0,2 m/s. After that there was a short hold off and vertical speed increased to -0,7 m/s on touchdown since IAS reduced and you "dropped" from 2 meters height.

In this case there are 2 actions need to be done to get a soft landing...
1. Start flare a bit later. Wait a second after navigator's annoucement and the flare height will be exactly 6 meters.
2. In case of hold-off freeze the yoke first and pull it a little bit before touchdown increasing AoA that makes the landing much softer.

Other part is perfect, as usual! Хорошо One more flight with soft landing and we will go to exercise 2. Хитрый

Hello Bell,

Thanks for the tips. Here's another attempt, and this time I tried to keep elevator below 20° on rotation, and tried to flare a little bit later. Seen from the cockpit, the touchdown looked OK to me, but let's wait the data analysis! Улыбка

Unfortunately, I will be away for one month or so, thus I won't be able to fly on FS during that period of time. But I already printed exercise 2 Хитрый

Thanks, and see you then!

I'm back.

Flaps retracted from 28* at IAS 327 km/h.
There wasn't nominal thrust avobe 260 meters, it was 1% lower.
No need to use MET on flare it's not safe, pull the yoke only.
Maximum G-force value 1,25 on crosswind turn.

Generally speaking, no critical issues in this flight, except using MET on flare. This point does not allow me to say OK and I wait the final attempt from you.

Hello,

Thanks for that analysis Bell.

Unfortunately, I currently don't have much time for FS. I'll continue exercises when I get more time to fly Улыбка
